The Smart City & Solution program consists of Smart City Planning and Smart Solution Planning. • Smart City Planning: This supports the development of smart city master plans to enhance the competitiveness of new and existing cities, including phased implementation plans and priority projects. • Smart Solution Planning: This provides support for planning and feasibility analysis necessary to introduce, build, and operate customized smart solutions aimed at solving existing urban problems.

When an overseas government submits a project proposal, the K-City Network Secretariat (KIND) may, if necessary prior to project selection, coordinate the scope of work through consultations with local partner institutions and on-site field assessments.

Support Details
How much financial support is provided per project and how is it offered?

Support is provided up to KRW 700 million per project for Smart City Planning and up to KRW 400 million per project for Smart Solution Planning. However, the final amount of support may be adjusted depending on budget allocation and the results of deliberation by the selection committee. * Please note that the support funds are not provided directly to the government of the applicant country. Instead, the budget is allocated to the consulting firm selected to implement the project.

What is the Invitation Training Program?

The Invitation Training Program is designed to invite officials from partner countries to Korea to share Korea’s smart city policies, institutional frameworks, technologies, and best practices, while exploring opportunities for future cooperation projects. * The Invitation Training Program is conducted in conjunction with the World Smart City Expo (WSCE), which is held annually in Korea.
